GOOD TIMES TO BE AN INDEPENDENT DEVELOPER

Good Times to be an Independent Developer.

With the advent of HeroSlop and Developers Pretending to be Independent  Developers, while taking large lump sum of money from international publishers. I believe there is a good time right now to be an Independent Developer.

Games like Hollow Knight SIlksong and Slay the Spire 2 that jaw dropped everybody with huge sales and surpassing AAA developers games like nobody business. It's more than evident that being an Independent Developers could be a good idea.

People are craving good games that are short, fun and respect their time. Service Live Games are NOT  the way to go with games like HighGuard and The Cube: Save Us just closing weeks after launch. Everything it's expensive now a days, food rent and utilities are laughable priced, literally forcing people to work overtime, rethink and overthink their financial decisions and not having the time or the money to fund a forever game.

Many people are willing to fund and play Independent games that are pretty good and massively inexpensive. I believe the decision it's very clear. Good graphics and flashy cinematics has been the main strategy for many AAA developers to entice the Investors to fund and not having to deal with people that are just complaining about your game.

Why listen to the people that funded the industry cent by cent, while you can get all the cents in one sloop with less complaint. The Game Industry went from Fun Centric Games to Money Centric Games. As a player myself it's not fun to be reminded every single minute about a pack you can buy or to commit to seven days to get a flashy new hero.

Many Games literally stop you from continuing playing if you don't pay for some energy pack or some magic box. Basically telling you to pay now or come back tomorrow if you want to continuing playing. People play games to unwind and to escape from a world that it's becoming harder and harder to live in.

People are not playing games to be reminded of a due payment. I am hoping AAA developers that are making ones of the most awesome games out there to stop their practice of destroying their own games and give to players what they pay for. I believe it's a dream because Investor's Money it's pretty sweet. I believe I have the right to dream and continue playing Independent games.
