MAKE GAME, SELL GAME AND GET LOST
We used to have games that lasted forever and you still can go back and play that game many times you want. Now we have games that last only two weeks then they disappear. Developers now a days are creating games to fail. They Make the Game, they sell the game and then they close the game. Because if they stay in business supporting and adding content to the game, they could lost more money than closing it and laying off all the people that worked on the development of the game. Crazy situations where a lot of people are investing money in products that are not going to last.
High quality graphics and dynamic cut scenes are the main drive for investor to put money into. A flashy trailer to generate positive feedback amongst the people will set the deal. Rinse and Repeat for years to come. Many year releases are blatantly using this method over and over again. Many games are good enough to makes from this practice the perfect business model. Just harvest for the money. Not caring about the soil or the quality of the product. Customer Satisfaction goes to the side. It's just noise if that doesn't come with the money. Close this project and start a new one, sell a few millions. Rinse and Repeat, as long investors are willing to fund. We are willing to slop.
AI will automatically use this method. Pretty fast Produced games without any value with huge amounts of eye candy. Enough to catch people's attention to generate revenue. The Perfect Slop Machine intended to fill investor's pockets. Not every customer it's tech savvy. Not every people knows about what's going on. Online stores full of AiSlop will do the trick. Thousands of games every week, games for everybody, similar experiences. The Call of Slop, Slopfield, Left4Slop or Slopnite these and their respectives copycats will bloat the stores.
Supply will be so high that the market will continuously crash. Games that used to be full premium prices, now discounted 90 and 95% almost everyday in order to sell. Dark times for the Game Industry. Not to mentions those using AI to create their own personal experiences and compete with big publishers. If you have time you too can Slopify.
