GAMES CLOSING PRETTY SOON
It is sad, kind of confusing and infuriating every time. I heard about a good game that it's closing pretty soon. No too famous or not at all. Games that I was streaming and giving a chance from time to time. They are fun, nice to look at. Even though they all introduce something new and different. They still feel generic and I believe that's it's just one of the reason these games are struggling to find an audience and bring the revenues to the Developers and Publishers behind them.
REC ROOM
More than a game REC ROOM it's a platform where people can create custom content for it, communicate with other people, be social and having a nice time, playing and gaming around. REC ROOM it's the Metaverse many other developers are trying to recreate. Unfortunately as of JUNE 1, 2026. This platform will not longer be available to the people. Even though I wasn't playing this game at all. I was playing similar games and watching videos about REC ROOM and I have to say. This really makes me sad. This it's the kind of game people put hours into it. Creating their own interactive spaces or visiting the already available ones. Sometimes the people you met here are going to be forever gone, if you didn't have any other type of contact with them. For many of the young generation this platform became the only way for them to meet people. It's sad REC ROOM was very popular even though always felt like it was running under the shadows of other similar platforms.
DUNGEON STALKERS
I am not going to denied it. The Idea behind DUNGEON STALKERS it's pretty interesting. A Melee focused extraction game in a medieval maze. Where everybody fights against each other for loot. Wich you can sell or use to craft other weapons and resources. My first experience was nice. It was a lot of people playing. Now it's kind of hard to say the same. I was playing against NPC monsters and never got the opportunity to see any other people again. Graphics are nice even though looks kind of simple compared to other medieval games in the market. This one feels kind of simple, but not something that will stop you from playing. I know maybe was others reason why people stopped playing this game. Maybe was the in game store. This game was free by the way. You never know unless you are very active with the forums and online videos. It's kind of sad they are closing shop this JUNE 9, 2026. This announcement will accelerate this game closure for sure.
HAWKED
Another Extraction Shooter? yes it is. This one free. Graphics style like the Fortnites and very interesting gameplay mechanics in which you have to complete puzzles to get the shinnies. It was a very sizeable map where you always find thigs to do, again with puzzles. Having to deal with all kind of enemies while you trying to resolve a puzzle. Brought me the Indiana Jones feels. I never knew I need it. You deploy from a underwater submersible base for some reasons. I am not good following stories in games to an Island where you will raid tombs and resolve puzzle to get loot and try to extract. You have NPC monsters and NPC players. Kind of heroes that are trying to stop you from extract. They appears everywhere and many times at the extraction point for a last standing match. Don't forget other players that are looking for you too.
